Manoa International Exchange (MIX Program)

The Manoa International Exchange program provides amazing opportunities to students who are interested in studying abroad. On the MIX website, you can see the partner universities and learn more about the requirements that the host university requires. The MIX program allows students to attend a partner university while paying UH Manoa tuition. Study abroad may seem like a big financial sacrifice, however, there is financial aid and scholarships to support your travels.

To Do Before Exchange

  • Complete application on the MIX website

  • Complete application for partner university

  • Book flight

  • Apply for a visa

  • Apply for accommodation at partner university (optional)

  • Apply for insurance plan (differs between universities)

  • Download useful apps (ex. Grab in Singapore = Uber in the U.S.)

  • Exchange currency

  • Research local SIM card companies

  • Pack your bags (don't forget important documents!)
