During the circuit breaker, I went out to nearby parks to exercise and grocery shop. My favorite was going to Labrador Park, it has a beautiful walkway that was surrounded by trees and it led out to the ocean. My second favorite was Botanical Gardens, it was a very large space filled with large varieties of trees and flowers. I found it very relaxing to take walks at the park because being in my dorm for days felt suffocating. At my dorm, I would often watch cooking videos on YouTube. I would go out to purchase groceries after watching and try to recreate the dish myself. I really enjoy cooking my meals and I paid a lot of attention to nutrition.

Once the circuit breaker measures were in place, staff were hired at the subway stations and other public spaces to make sure people were social distancing, wearing masks, and not gathering in groups to go out. At the grocery stores, I was required to go online and submit my information before entering for tracking purposes. Since there were these measures, I felt safe even when I went out.

During the end of April, it was announced that the circuit breaker would be extended until June. Since this happened, my work visa was declined and I would have to submit an appeal stating that I was already in Singapore since they were not issuing passes to foreigners. I quickly submitted the appeal hoping to get an answer soon.
