A Visitor From Home (Week 9-10)

During my boyfriend's recess week, he came to Singapore to visit me. He used to live in Singapore when he was in Elementary school, so we revisited the areas that his family used to go and saw the apartment that he used to live in. Nearby his old home, there was a mall that his family would go to for foot massages every week. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the same place that his family went to, but we were able to get foot massages at a different shop in the mall. It was my first time getting a foot massage, it was very painful but I learned that specific spots on your feet is related to different parts of your body. Throughout the week we met up with my friends to eat, go to Sentosa beach, and play mini golf. At this time, I still had to attend in person classes, so we did not have much time to see the tourist attractions.

Towards the end of his stay, I was considering to return home because flights back to Honolulu were becoming scarce. I was worried that I would not be able to return home in May if the COVID-19 pandemic worsened. However, I decided to stay because my grades would be heavily affected if I did not attend class since participation is heavily weighed (30%). I had to prepare to stay past May after deciding to stay.
