School Life

As the new semester starts I feel excited and nervous since I don't know what to expect. The majority of the modules that I have been approved for are management focused and I hope to switch some out for marketing modules during appeals week. During class I was able to meet and chat with other exchange and local students. I am excited to work on group projects with local students because I think that I will be able to learn a lot from them.

Adventures

Before school got busy, my friends and I decided to explore Singapore to make the most of our time. My amazing friends Isaiah and Kelli created an itinerary to plan out where we should go. Our first week consisted of going to Chinatown, Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, ION Orchard Mall, Marina Bay, and Ikea. Since Chinese New Years was coming up, we stopped by Chinatown to see the festivities and eat the famous chicken rice (michelin star worthy!) at Liao Fan Hawker Chan. Our next stop was Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, and Marina Bay. We took lots of pictures of the Merlion and the beautiful flowers at Gardens by the Bay. The garden was very impressive, they had large indoor gardens that were air conditioned with beautiful flower arrangements. At ION Orchard Mall we ate at the food court, it is not a place that locals usually go to eat because it is expensive but the food was delicious. I hope to find local eateries during my stay. Ikea was that last place that I went during this week. I went there to buy some cooking supplies for my dorm and to try their famous meatballs. I started off with the meatballs but my friend next to me had a plate of chicken wings that looked and smelled really good... I ended up buying some for myself (#noregrets).
